'ICE Out For Good': Union County Rally Planned In Protest Of Immigration Enforcement
"ABOLISH ICE" was the message shared on the group website.
SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Organizers are scheduled to rally on Saturday in solidarity with the victims of raids by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents across the country.
The "ICE Out For Good" demonstration comes just weeks after 37-year-old Alex Pretti was shot dead during an altercation with agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This was the second deadly confrontation over just a few weeks in the state, after resident Renee Good was killed while driving her car near a group of agents.

Saturday's gathering will take place at the Tesla dealership at 135 Route 22 from noon to 1 p.m.

Organizers shared an "ABOLISH ICE" call to action on their website, and said they're looking to "protest ICE murdering Americans while illegally abducting our community members."

Elsewhere across the state in South Orange, more than 100 people joined together on Jan. 23 in another "ICE Out" event that included speakers and a visibility brigade protest along South Orange Avenue.
