In Brief: Municipal Jobs to be Reduced by Township
Nine positions to be eliminated, two employees laid off.

To stay underneath the 4 percent tax levy cap going into this year, the township plans on scratching nine municipal jobs.
"We did reduce by attrition a significant amount of positions," said Tom Grady, the financial officer up until June 30.
Two positions at the fire department and five at the police department were eliminated. One position at the Public Works Department was also scrapped, and one communications officer. Grady added that some employees are still in their positions, but once they retire, their positions will not be replaced.
