Local Teens Busted For Fighting, Underage Drinking, Fake IDs
Cranford, Westfield residents arrested outside a North Avenue East business, Cranford Police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 24-year-old Cranford man and two Westfield teens were arrested after a fight outside a North Avenue East business on Dec. 22, according to the Cranford Police Department.
Patrolman Ali Muhammad was dispatched to a business after a report was received of a fight in progress. Following an investigation at the scene, Muhammad arrested Brian Merkel, 24, of Cranford and Connor Scanlon, 19, and Kevin Reinhard, 19, of Westfield for disorderly conduct, police said.
In addition, Scanlon was charged with exhibiting a false government ID to police and underage consumption of alcohol, police said. Reinhard was also charged with underage consumption of alcohol, police said.

All three were processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.
