Lucy And Hazel Are Cranford's Pet Of The Week

CRANFORD, NJ — Meet Lucy and Hazel! They have been chosen as Cranford Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Our cats Lucy and Hazel are two very special kitties. We adopted them from the SPCA 10 years ago in October when they were around 8 weeks old. We didn’t know their actual birthday so just made it Aug. 15.

Two years later our daughter was born also on Aug. 15! Lucy and Hazel have been so sweet and kind to our daughter since she was born and are an integral part of our family. We’ve moved around a lot before finding Cranford and they have been with us through thick and thin. We just love them to pieces!"

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
