Man Fatally Struck By Rartian Valley Line Train

Breaking: The man was reportedly trespassing when he was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Sunday night: Report.

PLAINFIELD, NJ — A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Plainfield Sunday night.

The man, who was not identified, was reportedly trespassing when an eastbound train on the Raritan Valley line struck him east of the Dunellen train station around 5:35 p.m., Jim Smith, a spokesperson for NJ Transit. told nj.com.

There were no reported injuries to the train's crew or passengers on-board according to nj.com.

The train line was suspended in both directions from Bound Brook to Plainfield until about 9:32 p.m. as a result of the crash.
