Man Resisted Arrest, Had Heroin: Cranford Cops
Alberto Martinez was stopped for driving with tinted windows, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 31-year-old New Brunswick man was charged with resisting arrest and drug possession after a motor vehicle stop on Nov. 8, according to Cranford Police.
Alberto Martinez was pulled over by Patrolman Gregory Federici on Bloomingdale Avenue and Sailer Street because his 2004 Chevy had tinted windows, police said. Following an investigation at the scene, Federici arrested the driver for suspected heroin found inside the vehicle.
Martinez was charged with distribution of a controlled Dangerous substance, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance near school property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest, police said.

Martinez was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for tinted windows, suspended driver and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
