Nearly 4,000 Without Power In Cranford
Residents are being urged not to call 911 to report the electrical issue.
CRANFORD, NJ - More than 9,000 PSE&G customers, including nearly 4,000 in Cranford, are without power on Monday afternoon following a widespread outage in Union County.
The outage is affecting customers in Clark, Cranford, Garwood, Kenilworth, Linden, Rahway, Roselle, Roselle Park, and Westfield.
PSE&G is expecting power to be restored the earliest by 1:45 p.m. and latest by 5 p.m. on Monday.

"Crews on location have confirmed there was equipment failure at the substations in Cranford and Clark. Restoration efforts have started and crews will begin to restore power to customers as soon as possible," PSE&G officials said.

The Cranford Police Departments issued statements acknowledging the "widespread power outage" and asked that residents refrain from calling 911.
