New Jersey Clean Communities Council Recognizes Diane Brauchle with Education Award

New Jersey Clean Communities Awards

FRANKFORD – June 26, 2017 – Diane Brauchle has received the Education Award from the New Jersey Clean Communities Council (NJCCC) for her work as Clean Communities/Recycling Coordinator in Frankford Township.

Brauchle is applauded for establishing new municipal programs to encourage recycling and responsible disposal in the area.

“It is important to be in tune with your community. Because we live in a rural farming community, the program had to be developed to work within our surroundings,” Brauchle said. “Education is key in teaching children all about recycling and litter so it becomes second nature.”

Over the last two years, the town’s clean communities program has initiated the collection of more than 1,200 pounds of shoes for organizations including Soles 4 Souls, through various in-school drives.

“Diane has taken the clean communities program to a new level in her town; she is one of the most dedicated individuals I have ever met,” said Toni Lu Martin of NJCCC in Andover Township. “She is always coming up with different ideas to enhance the program in her town and is not afraid to take on any challenges to make it successful.”

Brauchle’s enthusiasm for litter-abatement has led to the community’s participation in various roadside cleanups. “We are tremendously proud of Ms. Brauchle and everything she does for the Frankford community,” said NJCCC Executive Director Sandy Huber.

NJCCC is a comprehensive, statewide litter-abatement program that has served New Jersey residents and visitors for more than 25 years. Learn more at njclean.org.
