'Night Stroll' Asks Folks To Haunt Cranford Friday (Updated)
Downtown businesses in Cranford will be handing out candy as Eastman Street will be closed off to motorists.
CRANFORD, NJ - For the second time in as many years, Downtown Cranford will be transforming into a spooky scene and the only thing missing is you. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday night, the Night Stroll invites early trick-or-treaters and Halloween enthusiasts to come out to experience the spooky scarecrows assembled along Eastman Street and beyond.
Over 75 scarecrows, created by residents, businesses, schools and organizations, currently line the streets of downtown Cranford. Visitors should make an effort to see all of the scarecrows and then vote for their favorites. Cranford residents were mailed ballots and extra ballots can be picked up at local businesses, the Cranford Library, and Cranford Community Center. Drop your completed ballot in the bright orange mailbox located at Eastman Plaza.
Area businesses will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, music will be playing and glow sticks and other Halloween goodies will be available at the Post Office Plaza.
