NJ565 - Wildwood (Cape May County)

It's a sound almost as much a part of the Wildwood Boardwalk as seagulls or breaking waves.  It seems every few minutes you hear "Watch the tram car, please" as you look at the rides, shop in the stores or just enjoy a sea breeze.

But what's the story behind that warning?  It's the voice of Floss Stingel who recorded her announcement back in 1971.  The trams themselves have been cruising the boards since 1949 and were originally built for the 1939 New York World's Fair.
