No Injuries After Three-Alarm House Fire In Cranford: Officials
Two residents of a Gallows Hill Road home were not hurt after a three-alarm fire on Tuesday night, the Cranford Fire Department said.
CRANFORD, NJ — Two residents of a Gallows Hill Road home were not hurt after a three-alarm fire on Tuesday night, the Cranford Fire Department said.
The fire began about 8:40 p.m. in the house, which is in the 700 block of Gallows Hill, the fire department said. A fire truck which had been on that same street got to the house within a minute, officials said.
Cranford firefighters saw smoke coming from the roof line of the two-story house, and began attacking the blaze on the second floor after they made sure residents were all accounted for.

The fire escalated to three alarms, so neighboring fire departments came to offer mutual aid.
The fire was under control around 9:26 p.m., the department said. Crews cleared the scene around midnight.

"The home was deemed uninhabitable due to smoke and water damage," the fire department said.
The CFD Bureau of Fire Prevention and the Cranford Police Department are investigating the cause of the fire.
