Obstructed View Stop Leads To Drug Arrest: Cranford Police

Dennis Friend was charged with possession, according to police.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 66-year-old Clark man was charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Gregory Federici stopped a 2003 Ford on South Avenue East and Lincoln Avenue East for a view obstruction. Following an investigation at the scene, Federici arrested the driver, Dennis Friend, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.

In addition, Friend was issued motor vehicle summonses for a view obstruction and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
