Pair Of Drug Arrests In Cranford: Police
Aleksandr Firstov and Rafael Vasquez were arrested after a motor vehicle stop.

CRANFORD, NJ - Aleksandr Firstov, 29, of Roselle and Rafael Vasquez, 23, of North Bergen were arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
On Nov. 23, Patrolman Nicholas Cook stopped a 2010 Chevrolet on North Avenue East and Carpenter Place for improper display of plates, police said. Following an investigation at the scene, Cook arrested the driver, Firstov, and a passenger, Vasquez, for suspected marijuana found in their possession, police said.
In addition to the possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Firstov was issued a motor vehicle summonses for improper display of license plates and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.

They were both processed and provided with Municipal Court appearance dates, police said.
