Passenger Had Drugs, Semi-automatic Pistol: Cranford Cops
Nathaniel Louis was arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 21-year-old Hillside man was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of under 50g marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 14.
According to officials, Patrolman Matthew Siessel stopped a 2001 Honda was stopped on North Avenue East for an expired inspection decal. Following an investigation at the scene, Siessel arrested a passenger in the vehicle, Nathaniel Louis, for suspected marijuana found in his possession, police said. In addition, Siessel also recovered a loaded .45ACP handgun in Louis’ possession, police said.
He was processed and turned over to the Union County Jail pending a detention hearing, police said.

The driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for an inspection violation and for being an unlicensed/suspended driver.
