Photos: An Alien Invaded Cranford For Halloween
A local artist turned heads this Halloween with his larger-than-life E.T. costume.
Not many saw the giant extraterrestrial walking through downtown Cranford on Oct. 30, but Jonathan Sykes, a local artist and special education art and drama teacher, was giving his best show to drivers and and pedestrians for several hours.
His 12-foot-tall rendition of E.T. was shocking and demanded local affection and attention. Sykes' plan was to be in the local Cranford Halloween parade, but due to the snow storm, he was the only one walking the town on his quest for the Halloween parade. The following day Sykes took his costume to the Halloweeen Parade in New York City , where he was interviewed by television news networks. According to the artist, people where surrounding him in all opportunities to get thier photo taken beside the giant E.T.
