Planning to Park at MusicFest? Some Tips

Freeholder press release details parking options.

Looking forward to taking in a myriad of music acts in Clark from Sept 8-12? The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders issued the following tips on parking at MusicFest in a press release Friday:

  • On Sept. 8, 9 and 10 only, on-site parking is free at Oak Ridge Park.
  • On Sept. 11 and 12, onsite parking is available at Oak Ridge Park for $10 per day.  If you wish to use onsite parking on these days, plan to arrive early as traffic may be heavy.
  • Free offsite parking, including a continuous free shuttle, is available at the nearby Union County Vo-Tech Schools Campus at 1776 Raritan Road in Scotch Plains on September 11 and 12 only.
  • A continuous free shuttle is also available from the New Jersey Transit train station nearby in Rahway on September 11 and 12 only.
  • Neighborhood residents are encouraged to walk or bike to Oak Ridge Park. Bike racks are conveniently placed near the park entrance. Please be aware that for safety reasons, bicycles are not permitted inside the venue.
  • Advisory for Parental Pick Ups, Sept. 11 and 12 only: Oak Ridge Road will be closed to all incoming vehicles to MusicFest at approximately 10:00 p.m. on September 11 and September 12, in order to facilitate outgoing traffic. For an alternate pickup location, MusicFest visitors can walk along Oak Ridge Road to Lake Avenue, where Rotondo's Deli and Fine Foods (located at 1040 Lake Avenue) has graciously permitted use of their parking lot for parental pickups. Officers will be stationed to assist with street crossings.
