Rabid Cat Bit Three Cranford Residents, Reports Say

Three residents were bitten by the stray rabid cat in the area of Orchard Street, Tulip Street and Spring Garden Place, reports say.

A cat that reportedly bit three Cranford residents earlier this month has since tested positive for rabies, reports say.

According to TAPinto.net, Cranford Police say three people were bitten by a stray cat between Oct. 4 and 5 in the area of Orchard Street, Tulip Street and Spring Garden Place.

The multicolored cat was eventually captured by one of its victims and turned over to animal control, who tells the publication it has since tested positive for rabies.
