Raritan Valley Rail Coalition Updates Efforts to Improve Service

Group looks for improvements beyond one-seat ride to New York City.

While the Raritan Valley Rail Coalition partially achieved one of its main objectives in March 2014 with the start of a one-seat ride to and from New York City on NJ Transit trains during middays, the Coalition continues to push for improvements. On Monday morning, the group held a membership meeting at Westfield Town Hall. Somerset County Freeholder Peter Palmer, who is the chairman of the rail group, gave an update on what needs to be done now.
