Robbery Suspect Arrested In Cranford: Police

Jonathan Ginesi had an active arrest warrant in Essex County, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 29-year-old Clark man was arrested and charged with possession but ended up in the Essex County Jail on an outstanding warrant, Cranford Police said.

On Dec. 27 Patrolman Ryan Gerrity stopped a suspicious male in the area of Raritan Road and Lexington Avenue, police said Following an investigation at the scene, Gerrity arrested Jonathan Ginesi for distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of suspected heroin, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date and was remanded to the Essex County Jail for an active arrest warrant for a robbery in Essex County, police said.
