Santa To Light Cranford's Christmas Tree Friday

CRANFORD, NJ - Before the Thanksgiving leftovers have gone cold, Santa Claus will be arriving in town to light the Cranford Christmas Tree on Friday, Nov. 29.

While the lighting itself is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Cranford Gazebo, N. Union & Springfield Ave., there are festive events scheduled throughout the day:

Morning Events

• 11 a.m. Daisies Tree Decorating
• 11:30 a.m. Brownies Tree Decorating
• Noon Jr. & Sr. Cadets Tree Decorating
• 1 p.m. Tree will be ready for display

Evening Events

• 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. Celebration Singers, Shining Stars
• 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Cranford HS Madrigal & Brass Ensemble
• 6 p.m. - Santa Arrives to light the Christmas Tree
• 6 p.m. to last child - Photos with Santa

After all the photos are taken, Santa leaves for the North Pole. In the interim, hot chocolate will be provided by Cranford Jaycees
