Seat Belt Violation Leads To Drug Arrest: Cranford Police
John Gacina was a passenger in the car when it was stopped, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 54-year-old Summit man was charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 26, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Detective Spencer Durkin stopped a 2000 Buick on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for a seat belt violation.
Following an investigation on scene, Durkin arrested a passenger, John Gacina, for drug paraphernalia found inside the vehicle, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date, police said. In addition, he was issued a motor vehicle summons for a seat belt violation.
