Seatbelt Violation Leads To Drug Bust: Cranford Police
Mario Bonilla was charged after being stopped on the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 48-year-old Elizabeth man was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 15, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman John Rattigan stopped a 1996 Honda on the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Rattigan arrested the driver, Mario Bonilla, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.
In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
