Snapchat Threat Made Against Cranford School Thursday

Breaking: The source of the threat was identified and the Cranford Police Department's Juvenile Bureau is investigating.

CRANFORD, NJ — A threat was posted on the social media outlet Snapchat that involved Hillside Avenue School in Cranford Thursday morning, Cranford Police Chief Ryan Greco reported.

An investigation determined that the threat was "deemed not to be credible, and there are no immediate safety concerns to the Hillside Avenue School community," Greco said.

The source of the threat was identified through the combined efforts of the Cranford School District and Cranford Police Department’s Patrol Division, Detective Bureau and Juvenile Bureau. The investigation is being handled by the Cranford Police Department’s Juvenile Bureau.
