Stolen Car Arrest On Carpenter Place: Cranford Police
Officers found drugs in the vehicle during the investigation, authorities said.
CRANFORD, NJ - Three adults and one juvenile were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and possession after a motor vehicle stop on April 25.
According to authorities, Detective Michael Dubitsky stopped a 2006 Ford on North Avenue East and Carpenter Place for unclear plates.
Following an investigation on scene, Dubitsky arrested the driver, 20-year-old John Martinez of Elizabeth and three other passengers, 19-year-old Edy Almendarez-Meija of Elizabeth, 24-year-old Frank Boateng of Newark and a juvenile for suspected marijuana and receiving stolen property, police said.

According to police, the vehicle they were driving was discovered to be stolen.
They were processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Martinez was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation, unclear plates, unlicensed driver and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
