'Suspicious Activity' Leads To Drug Arrest: Cranford Police

John Lantieri was charged with possession, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 58 year old Edison man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident with police on April 1, according to authorities.

According to the Cranford Police Department, Detective Michael Dubitsky stopped a 2004 Toyota in a parking lot near North Avenue East and Elizabeth Avenue for suspicious activity.

Following an investigation on scene, Dubitsky arrested the driver, John Lantieri, for suspected marijuana found inside his vehicle, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.
