Suspicious Vehicle Report Leads To DWI Arrest: Cranford Cops

Andrew Dealmeida was also charged with careless driving, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 30-year-old Union man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Dec. 15, according to the Cranford Police Department.

Patrolman Joseph Sherbo responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle on North Avenue West, according to police. Following an investigation at the scene, Sherbo arrested the driver, Andrew Dealmeida, for driving while intoxicated, police said.

Dealmeida was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.

In addition, Dealmeida was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, police said.
