Teachers, Staffers Appointed for Upcoming School Year

Board of Education makes note of new staffers in Monday's agenda.

Every summer, the Board of Education works to garner a full contingent of teachers and other staffers for the upcoming school year. Here is a list of the new hires approved at Monday's meeting:

▪                Thomas Petronzio, science teacher at Orange Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. He earned a BA from Elon University.

▪                Mellisa Toddings, part-time basic skills teacher at Bloomingdale Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. She earned a BS from Saint Joseph's University.

▪                Melissa Patetta, kindergarten teacher at Bloomingdale Avenue School, effective Sept.1 through June 30. She earned a BS from Kean University.

▪                Kathleen Spinelli, lunchroom assistant at Livingston Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30.

▪                Jaqueline Winnicki, part-time guidance counselor at Cranford High School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. She earned a MA from William Paterson University and a BS from Syracuse University.

▪                Karra Cancilleri, mathematics teacher at Cranford High School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. She earned a BS from Mommouth University.

▪                Karen Cox, part-time music teacher at Cranford High School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. She earned a BA from Rutgers University.

▪                Lynn Curtiss, second-grade teacher at Hillside Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. She earned a BA from Caldwell College.

▪                Mark P. Faber, M.D., board-certified psychiatrist, effective Sept. 1 through June 30 as psychiatric consultant to the Lincoln School Achievement Program.

▪                Kayrn Burak, fourth-grade teacher at Orange Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. Burak earned a bA from William Paterson University. 

▪                Maribeth Hall, lunchroom assistant at Livingston Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. 

▪                Maryann Odermatt, lunchroom assistant at Livingston Avenue School.

▪                Clarence Stone, applied technology leave replacement at Hillside Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 throuhg June 30. He earned a MS from Purdue University and a BS from West Virginia University.

▪                Leigh Ann Penska, part time art teacher at Hillside Avenue School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30. She earned a MS from Kutztown University.

▪                John Jacquin, lunchroom assistant at Brookside Public School, effective Sept. 1 through June 30.
