Friday, July 15th

  • The Murphy Dunn Theatre at Kean University will hold a performance of Follow Me to Nellie's at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 per person, $20.00 for senior citizens and $15.00 for students. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the box office at 908-737-7469.
  •  The Ridge Light Opera of New Jersey is putting on a performance of "Footloose" in Pleasant Valley Park in Basking Ridge. Admission is free, and guests are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets. For more information, visit http://www.ridgelightopera.org or call 908-903-0702.

  • The Liberty Hall Museum in Union will host a from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Withum Smith + Brown will offer samples of red and white wines, a wide range of cheeses and delicious finger foods. All proceeds from the event will help support the programs and services provided within the community by The Arc of Union County.   • The Galeria West in Westfield will present the acclaimed Latin American Jazz group at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. To purchase tickets, call the SunRex hotline at 908-301-1285 or Galeria West at 908-301-9217. 
  • The Mount Carmel Fireworks will be held at 11:00 p.m at Mount Carmel Field in Berkeley Heights. All are welcome.

Sunday, July 17th

  • Catch the exciting Women's World Cup Final between the USA and Japan at Kilkenny House at 2:45 p.m. The game marks the first time the USA has played in the cup since 1999, when they last won it all. Kilkenny House will have the game on the big screens and will have a special WWC-themed menu. 
  • Macculloch Hall Historical Museum in Morristown will host a from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held in the museum's majestic gardens. The event promises to bring together the Japanese style drumming known as Taiko performed by Kenny Chin and the beautiful Japanese art form of Ichiyo ikebana with Anna Nakada.
