Two Charged With Heroin, Cocaine Possession: Cranford Police

Katherine Speziale and Gerald Knott were arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 47-year-old Edison woman and a 47-year-old Plainfield man were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on March 25, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Gregory Federici stopped a 2006 Chrysler on Centennial Avenue and the Garden State Parkway 136 Exchange for a brake light out.

Following an investigation on scene, Federici arrested the driver and a passenger, Katherine Speziale and Gerald Knott respectively, for suspected heroin and cocaine found in their possession, police said. They were processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates.

In addition, Speziale was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
