Two Charged With Heroin Possession: Cranford Cops

Sheryl Sarnicki and Jessica Dmochowski were arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 36-year-old Edison woman and a 32-year-old Union woman were arrested and charged possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 10, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Gregory Federici stopped a 2012 Nissan on North Avenue East and Springfield Avenue for failing to maintain lane. Following an investigation at the scene, Federici arrested the driver, Sheryl Sarnicki, and a passenger, Jessica Dmochowski, for suspected heroin found inside the vehicle, police said.

They were both processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Sarnicki was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain her lane and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
