Two Drug Arrests After Motor Vehicle Stop: Cranford Police
Vicky Ventura and Joel Colon had TCH edibles and marijuana, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - Both the driver and the passenger in a 2000 Honda were arrested and charged with drug possession after a motor vehicle stop on March 7, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman James Knight stopped the Honda on Centennial Avenue and Buchanan Street for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation on scene, Knight arrested the driver, 25-year-old Vicky Ventura of Elizabeth, and a passenger 34-year-old Joel Colon of Linden, police said.
They were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia for suspected THC edibles and marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said.

They were both processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates.
In addition, Ventura was issued motor vehicle summonses for no valid insurance card in possession, a seatbelt violation, maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
