Unlicensed Driver Charged With Drug Possession: Cranford Police
Deshawn Claiborne was stopped for having unclear plates, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 26-year-old Roselle man was arrested and charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 24, according to the Cranford Police Department.
Authorities said Patrolman Thomas Bell stopped a 2016 Mitsubishi on Centennial Avenue and Grant Street for having unclear pates.
Following an investigation at the scene, Bell arrested the driver, Deshawn Claiborne, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.

In addition, Claiborne was issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates, suspended driver and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
