Who Is On The 2019 Ballot And Where To Vote In Cranford

The general election is this Tuesday. Check out where to vote and who your options are before you cast your ballot.

CRANFORD, NJ - On Tuesday, Nov. 5 voters will be heading to the polls to cast their ballots in the general election. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

We sent out questions to all candidates involved in the race. Links to those who responded are attached to their names. You can click on them to read more about the candidates who chose to participate.

A quiet, uncontested primary gave way to a race for Cranford Township Committee in the November general election. Republicans Mary O'Connor and Phil Siliato are facing off against Democrats Kathleen Miller Prunty and Brian Andrews.

The Cranford Township Committee will have at least one new face on the dais in 2020 as current committeewoman Ann Doley did not file for another three-year term by the filing deadline. Two new faces should O'Connor fail to win another round on the dias.

The candidates also participated in a forum to discuss their platforms.

The Cranford Board of Education has three incumbents and three newcomers running in this year's November election, according to the Union County Clerk's Office.

The incumbents include, Nicole Sherrin Kessler of Staughton Avenue, Patrick Lynch of Denman Road and Brian McCarthy of Lawn Terrace.

Also on the ballot is Brian Lopez of Wade Avenue, Brett Dreyer of Hampton Street, and Veronica Doyle of Penn Road.

Dreyer is running with the slogan "Committed to Cranford" and Doyle has selected "Our Children First" as her slogan.

Below is the list of polling locations in Cranford for this year's election, including the addresses and district numbers:

  • District 1: Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave., Lounge
  • District 2, 10, 25, 29: Walnut Avenue School, 370 Walnut Ave., Auditorium/Gym
  • District 3, 7, 26: Municipal Building, 8 Springfield Ave.
  • District 4, 14, 15: Livingston Avenue School, 75 Livingston Ave., Auditorium/Gym
  • District 5, 6, 21: Lincoln School, 132 Thomas St. (use Lincoln Ave. entrance), Auditorium/Gym
  • District 8, 12, 30: Bloomingdale Avenue School, 200 Bloomingdale Ave., Auditorium/Gym
  • District 9, 18, 20, 28: Orange Avenue School, 901 Orange Ave., Girl's Gym
  • District 11, 28: Hillside Avenue School, 125 Hillside Ave., Room 49
  • District 16, 23: Cranford High School, 201 West End Pl., Lower Gym
  • District 17, 19, 22, 24: Brookside Place School, 700 Brookside Pl., Auditorium/Gym

Registered voters are assigned a specific election district and polling place according to their street address. Your election district and voting location are printed on the face of your Sample Ballot, which is mailed to registered voters before an election. A voters' polling location may also be searched by accessing the New Jersey Division of Elections Polling Place Locator.
