• Denville Firemen's Carnival Marks 100 Years July 14-18, 2026 (denvillenow.com) — Denville’s all-volunteer fire department is celebrating 100 years with its biggest fundraiser, the Firemen’s Carnival, running July 14–18 at Fireman’s Field on Indian Road. Residents can enjoy rides, games, and plenty of food while supporting the gear and training that keep local firefighters responding around the clock. Wristbands and tickets are sold on site each evening, rain or shine. 
• Denville Man Accused of Running Explosives Lab Ordered Held Until Trial (denvillenow.com) — A Denville resident has been ordered held in jail until trial after investigators say they found hazardous chemicals, explosive materials, and numerous firearms at his home, prompting an evacuation and costly cleanup. Prosecutors argued the combination of items posed serious risks and made him a danger and flight risk. His attorney countered that many materials had legitimate uses and emphasized his clean record and community ties.
• Morristown Police to Host Free Child Car Seat Safety Check This Saturday (tapinto.net) — Families from Denville can get their child car seats checked for free at a Morristown event this Saturday, with ongoing monthly inspections also available nearby. Certified technicians will help ensure seats are installed correctly and answer safety questions. Additional inspection stations in towns including Denville give local parents more convenient options beyond this weekend’s event.
