• UPDATE: Resident Hurt While Saving Pets During Franklin Township House Fire (rlsmedia.com) — East Franklin firefighters were among several local departments that battled a serious house fire on Irvington Avenue in Franklin Township Saturday afternoon, where a resident was hurt while trying to rescue dogs. The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital, and fire officials are still investigating what caused the blaze. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the township’s Fire Prevention Department.
