• Monmouth Executive Airport to close runways for month-long repaving (app.com) — If you rely on Monmouth Executive Airport just east of East Freehold, both runways will be closed for repaving from Sept. 14 through Oct. 15, though helicopters and hangar access continue. The privately owned airport off Route 34 is undertaking a major resurfacing investment after years of debate over potential county takeover for public safety reasons.
