• South Jersey police warn of uptick in car thefts, break-ins (nbcphiladelphia.com) — East Greenwich’s police chief is joining other Gloucester County departments in warning residents about a sharp rise in car thefts and break-ins across nearby towns. Police say thieves are targeting unlocked vehicles in residential neighborhoods and urge everyone to lock cars, remove keys and fobs, leave exterior lights on, and use cameras when possible as departments increase patrols and coordinate regionally.
