4 East Brunswick Residents Participating In Boston Marathon 2022

The Boston Marathon returns April 18, and 4 East Brunswick residents will be among the 30,000 participants.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Thirty-thousand participants will cross the starting line on April 18 at the 2022 Boston Marathon. And four of them are East Brunswick residents.

For the first time since 2019, the Boston Marathon will take place on Patriots' Day — a Massachusetts holiday commemorating the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War.

The day begins with military marchers at 6 a.m., with several waves of athletes beginning the race in Hopkinton throughout the morning.

The following racers live in East Brunswick, according to the Boston Athletic Association, which hosts the marathon:

  • Cristina Alcaide, 47: Wave 4, Corral 6, Bib No. 29475
  • Michael Alcaide, 46: Wave 4, Corral 1, Bib No. 24684
  • Yuan Huang, 53: Wave 3, Corral 5, Bib No. 20434
  • Michael Kulbacki, 38: Wave 4, Corral 2, Bib No. 25920

  • Download the Boston Athletic Association's racing app, which is free on iPhone and Android devices.
  • Follow along on the B.A.A. website, which will change April 18 to allow people to track runners on race day.
  • Sign up for AT&T text alerts, which will text you when your favorite athlete reaches certain race milestones and crosses the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.

  • 6 a.m.: military marchers
  • 9:02 a.m.: wheelchair division, men
  • 9:05 a.m.: wheelchair division, women
  • 9:30 a.m.: handcycle and duo participants
  • 9:37 a.m.: professional men
  • 9:45 a.m.: professional women
  • 9:50 a.m. para-athletics divisions
  • 10 a.m.: Wave 1
  • 10:25 a.m.: Wave 2
  • 10:50 a.m.: Wave 3
  • 11:15 a.m.: Wave 4
