6th Annual Ramadan Lighting Ceremony Scheduled In East Brunswick

Tea, crafts, and face painting follow ceremony honoring the Islamic holy month.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick Public Library will host a special ceremony celebrating Ramadan, the Islamic holy month observed by 1.7 billion Muslims worldwide.

The 6th Annual Ramadan Lighting Ceremony will be held on Monday, at 5:45 p.m. at the public library

Ramadan is a sacred time dedicated to fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. The library's celebration will offer attendees an opportunity to learn about this important observance while enjoying an afternoon of family-friendly activities.

Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy complimentary tea and refreshments. Children and families are invited to participate in crafts and face painting. All community members are welcome to attend.

In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be rescheduled for February 12th.
