Affordable Housing Lottery Opens For East Brunswick’s Legacy Place
A total of 104 affordable housing units will be available at the new development.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – By law, East Brunswick is required to provide a certain number of affordable housing units in the township. On Monday, the township announced that the affordable housing lottery for Legacy Place has opened.
Located at 110 Tices Lane just off Route 18, Legacy Place will feature 520 luxury rental apartments and townhomes.
The new development is expected to complete construction soon and occupancy is expected to start in the fall.

A total of 104 affordable housing units will be available and the first 67 apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in fall 2023.
Applicants for the new housing units need to submit an application and join the township’s rental waiting list by Aug. 23. They will be included in the random lottery number drawing to determine priority order. Click here for the application.

Apartment units that are designated affordable are identical to full-priced units and scattered throughout the property.
At the development, 33 units will be made available at a moderate rate, 25 at a low rate and 9 and very low rate.
The community will feature a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences. Two urban-style apartment buildings with garage parking and 18,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
The new development will also feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, a great room, a lounge and private workstations.
A resort-style swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen and grilling stations are included in the outdoor amenities.
There will be walking paths, open space, a dog park and a central square for residents to gather, along with several pocket parks.
