Giamarese Farm now has a CSA! A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an agreement between shareholders and the farmer where both share in the risk and rewards of farming seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Giamarese Farm in East Brunswick, is a third generation fruit and vegetable farm that started in 1941. Field fresh vegetables and fruit, from asparagus to zucchini are harvested from 100 acres. Sue and Jim Giamarese were winners of the National Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 1989 and were voted Vegetable Growers of the Year in 2012. Their farm put the state over the 100,000-acre mark in 2002 with the governor attending the milestone event. Currently, Jim is President of the State Board of Agriculture.
