The atmosphere was electric on The Oscar & Ella Wilf Campus for Senior Living, as residents and staff of The Martin and Edith Stein Assisted Living, The Wilentz Senior Residence and The Martin and Edith Stein Hospice came together to walk and raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. A local home health company, Home Instead Senior Care, also participated by helping the residents as they walked. Everyone worked together to achieve a successful event.
Susan Harris, LNHA , CEO of The Oscar and Ella Wilf Campus for Senior Living, remarked that “Alzheimer’s Disease robs so many of their lives and precious memories. Our staff and residents come together annually to raise funds for this very important cause. It is a wonderful way for our residents to stay connected to the community by giving back to it in such a meaningful way. It is truly a special moment to watch how proud our residents are when the annual funds raised are announced and a check is given to the representative from the Alzheimer’s Association. I join with all of our entities, The Martin and Edith Stein Assisted Living, The Martin and Edith Stein Hospice, The Lena and David T. Wilentz Senior Residence, The Foundation at the Wilf Campus and Wilf Transport in hoping that a cure for this disease is on the horizon. I also offer my congratulations to the Martin and Edith Stein Assisted Living Residence for organizing a fantastic event this year.”

“The weather was perfect and the beautiful trees and woods were a wonderful backdrop to the camaraderie I saw as our community came together to support this important cause. I think the most poignant moment was watching residents from our memory-impaired unit take part in a fund-raiser dedicated to fighting Alzheimer's diseases,” said Anna Simmons, RN, CALA Executive Director of The Martin and Edith Stein Assisted Living Residence.
