Back To School: East Brunswick School District Calendar 2022-23

As parents prepare for the first day of school in East Brunswick, here are a few dates to remember:

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The first day of school is less than a month away and families have already begun their planning and preparing.

The first day of school in East Brunswick in Sept. 6. Staff will participate in professional development on Sept. 1 and 2. All schools and offices will be closed on Sept. 5 for Labor Day.

As of now, there are no mask mandates for students and staff.

The CDC on Wednesday eased COVID-19 guidelines. The agency is no longer recommending quarantine when exposed to someone with COVID and is dropping its guidance for people to stay 6 feet apart. Instead, the CDC recommends that those exposed to someone with COVID wear a mask for 10 days and test for the virus on the fifth day. More: CDC Eases COVID Restrictions: What Remains In NJ

However, the guidelines for those who test positive remain unchanged. They should isolate for five days and may end isolation if they are fever-free for 24 hours without medication and their symptoms are improving.

It remains to be seen how these new guidelines translate to NJ schools.

East Brunswick Public Schools

  • First Day: Sep. 6, 2022
  • Election Day – Schools Closed: Nov. 8
  • Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25
  • Winter Break: Dec. 26 - Dec. 30.
  • Spring Break: April 3, 2023 - April 7, 2023
  • Last Day: June 16, 2023 (early dismissal)
