Bicyclist Struck & Killed Tuesday In East Brunswick

Luis H. Loaiza-Cañas of South River was stuck early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Old Bridge Turnpike and Milltown Road.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A bicyclist was struck and killed early Tuesday morning in East Brunswick, authorities said.

Luis H. Loaiza-Cañas, 64, of South River, was struck on Tuesday before 6 a.m. at the intersection of Old Bridge Turnpike and Milltown Road, police said.

Loaiza-Cañas was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is being conducted by Ptl. Michael McGlynn of the East Brunswick Police Department Special Operations Section under the direction of Chief Frank LoSacco.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is being released at this time.
