Body Found in Raritan River Thursday
An adult male was found in the water near the boat slips of New Brunswick Landing.

New Brunswick, NJ - At approximately 12:15 p.m. Thursday, New Brunswick police and fire department personnel responded to the Raritan River to investigate a report of a possible body in the river, New Brunswick police Capt. JT Miller said in a release to the media.
The first responders located the body of an adult male in the water near the boat slips of New Brunswick Landing.
Members of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene as well. A preliminary investigation does not show any signs of foul-play; however, a final determination will not be made until an autopsy is complete.

The identity of the man is being withheld until the proper next of kin can be notified, Miller said. The most recent time bodies were pulled out of the Raritan River in New Brunswick was this past July: Two men, 22 and 19, were drag racing on Rt. 18 when their car drove off the road and plunged into the Raritan River.
