Come See Great Movies From Around the World
Come to the East Brunswick Public Library for the International and Fine Film Festivals.
Come by the and catch great movies from around the world. With three entries to be shown as part of the International Film Festival, and one more for the Fine Film Festival, the Library is a great place to see some great films. Sponsored by the Friends of The Library, the entries will be shown twice, once at 1:30 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.
International Film Festival
Potiche is a 2010 film from France. Rated T. Suzanne, a trophy wife of a wealthy industrialist, steps in to run the factory when her husband is kidnapped by striking factory workers. This nostalgic comedy stars Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu. Tuesday, Oct. 11.

The Swimsuit Issue is a 2008 film from Sweden. It’s not rated. Newly divorced and unemployed, Fredrik convinces his friends to form an all-male synchronized swimming team. With help from Fredrik’s 17-year-old daughter, the team defies the odds and advances to the World Cup in Berlin. Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Bride Flight is a 2009 film from the Netherlands. Rated R. To escape the devastation of World War II, Ada, Marjorie and Esther fly to New Zealand to meet their new husbands. Their lives are forever linked by Frank, the handsome farmer they meet on their flight. This lush romantic drama is the recipient of the Audience Favorite Award at the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival. Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Fine Film Festival
The Music Never Stopped is a 2011 film from the USA. Rated PG. Henry Sawyer struggles to connect to his estranged son, who suffers from a brain tumor that has robbed him of his short-term memory and left him living in the 1960s. Through a shared love of music, father and son are reunited in this heart-warming drama based on a case study reported by author and neurologist Oliver Sacks. Tuesday, Oct. 25.
