East Brunswick Cops: Robbery Suspect Strikes Delivery Driver With Silver Revolver

A robbery suspect struck a delivery driver for Stop & Shop with a silver revolver on Wednesday, police said.
According to police:
At 9:35 p.m., police units responded to Yorktown Road for an armed robbery that had occurred in the street. The victim, a delivery driver for Stop & Shop, was making a delivery on Yorktown Road when he was approached by an unknown male wearing a ski mask.

The suspect demanded the victim’s wallet and cell phone. Initially the victim refused, but the suspect produced a silver revolver and threatened the victim unless he handed over his wallet and cell phone.
The victim gave the suspect his wallet and had to walk back to the truck for his phone. As he was walking back to the truck the suspect hit the victim with the gun, causing lacerations to his face and head. The suspect then fled the scene. A search of the scene by police units and the New Jersey State Police K9 Unit were unsuccessful.

The victim was transported by the East Brunswick Rescue Squad to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for his facial lacerations.
