East Brunswick Gets A New Police Chief
Effective August 1, Lieutenant Frank LoSacco will replace East Brunswick's current police chief, James Conroy, who is retiring this summer.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Effective August 1, Lieutenant Frank LoSacco will become East Brunswick's new chief of police, East Brunswick Township announced this week.
LoSacco will replace East Brunswick's current police chief, James Conroy, who is retiring this summer.
Lieutenant LoSacco is a 31-year-member of the East Brunswick Police Department and is a resident of East Brunswick. He started with East Brunswick police in 1987 as a special police officer, which meant he was not even allowed to carry a gun. Special police officers in New Jersey are auxiliary officers who help out with traffic control and so on.

From there, LoSacco worked his way through the ranks, spending most of his career in the patrol division. He also worked as East Brunswick's domestic violence liaison and instructor for firearms, active shooter, defensive tactics and anti-terrorism. He has also served for many years in community policing, as the department's recruitment officer and as patrol squad supervisor.
"The township is very proud of the fact that our future Chief is an East Brunswick native and has risen through the ranks," said East Brunswick Twp. in a statement. "Frank is a true East Brunswick success story and we wish him, and the department he leads, the best of luck as he starts this new chapter in his life."

The father of four children, LoSacco attended Crandall School, Frost School and graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1986. After the birth of his first child he moved to Spotswood and helped raise his family. While in Spotswood he ran and won a position on the Township Council.
