In an assembly on Tuesday, Warnsdorfer fifth-grader Angelica Varughese was announced as the state finalist. She is one of 50 national finalists who are in the running for a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for Warnsdorfer. Google will fly Angelica and the other finalists to California for a tour of Google Headquarters on May 21. The finalist will be announced at that time, according to The Alternative Press.
