East Brunswick High School Begins Fall Sports Practice
The dates were earlier pushed back due to COVID-19.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – East Brunswick High School has resumed practice for outdoor fall sports.
The school district is a member of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), the state governing agency, and the Greater Middlesex Conference, a 32-member organization.
The NJSIAA had earlier pushed back dates for fall sports season in schools due to COVID-19.

The school district reopened earlier this month with the hybrid learning module. On Monday they began official practice.
The district is going ahead with its new season. The school’s football team will scrimmage against Edison on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. The girls tennis team will have its first match on Sep. 29 at Old Bridge.

On Oct. 1, the boy’s soccer team will begin its regular season at Old Bridge, and the girls soccer team will have a home game against Old Bridge. So far, there are no changes to this schedule.
Meanwhile, the district has pushed girls’ volleyball and gymnastics to a Feb. 16, 2021 start date.
Student athletes need to fill out a daily attendance form every afternoon before practice. The district has asked student to stay home if they have been exposed to COVID-19, or are feeling unwell. They can resume practice only after getting clearance from a doctor.
Since reopening, several school students in the district have reported ‘close contacts’ with COVID.
